Fluid Power Hydraulics Turns Up the Pressure

A new component remanufacturing facility in Oklahoma City allows Fluid Power Hydraulics to raise the bar on quality standards by implementing more rigorous testing programs. The new facility includes the installation of three test stands, two for the pump and motor division and one specifically designed for cylinders.

"Testing allows us to consistently provide a quality product," said Toby Rogers, president of Fluid Power Hydraulics. "We can take any of our remanufactured products from a small gear pump to a large hydrostatic drive, process them through our test program, and feel confident that we are delivering a quality product that our customers can believe in."

The rate of failure for components not tested or improperly tested can be as high as 40 percent. Failure in the field is not only aggravating, but very destructive to production. Product failure due to poor remanufacturing practices and improper testing procedures cost individuals and companies in the agricultural industry millions of dollars every year.

"Utilizing remanufactured products from Fluid Power Hydraulics can be very beneficial to producers. When compared to new components, remanufacturing can save up to 50% of the cost," says Cary Vance, hydraulic specialist.
